About building and construction tenders in Eastern Cape

Construction tenders come from national and provincial public works, municipalities, SOEs such as SANRAL, Transnet and Eskom, and private developers. Most require a CIDB grading that matches the contract value and class of works (GB, CE, ME and so on), plus CSD registration, tax compliance, a B-BBEE certificate and often a compulsory site briefing. Many contracts also set subcontracting targets for local SMMEs. Eastern Cape tenders are published by the provincial departments, Nelson Mandela Bay and Buffalo City metros, district municipalities such as OR Tambo and Chris Hani, ports and SOEs around Gqeberha and East London, and private buyers.
